One key thing to remember about the DC hire and the other hires.....

Anybody expecting or even hoping for a spectacular turnaround in fortunes for next season should throttle it back a bit. There has been a 5, that's FIVE, coach turnover this season and we are not sure about CLT at this point. Even if the roster was experienced and had good leaders, it would still be a struggle with all they will have to relearn again. The existing roster has to be asking themselves what the he## is going on. Add in CDD's game management or lack there of and it's anybody's guess what will happen. Don't think for one second this turmoil has not affected the level of coaches they can hire. So if you believe great coaches build great teams, you better hope something happens soon that changes what has been happening for years now.

They are jumping ship because the captain is a loser. If Hart is offering multi year deals it is because you have to offer more to people to take such a large risk as working for Dooley the idiot.

I asked you last night and you never responded, since you are so almighty that you can call our coach a loser, what do you do???

CDD is the head coach at Tennessee and I'm sure that's something that someone like you would LOVE to do!!!

Let's not forget we were being investigated by the NCAA when most of these coaches were hired. That black cloud lifted and we are open to pursue other talented coaches without having our hands tied behind our back. Interesting that Hiestand's contract was structured so that he makes $100K less this year from last if he stays.

Source: Govolsxtra.com
Offensive line coach Harry Hiestand made $475,000 in 2011 but is set to earn $375,000 in 2012. When Hiestand joined the Vols in 2010, his salary was partially supplemented by the Chicago Bears, his former employer. UT paid Hiestand $200,000 in 2010 but covered all of the tab this year.

Hiestand's base salary of $275,000 will remain the same in 2012, but his "broadcast/endorsement pay" drops from $200,000 to $100,000.

People like this makes me laugh. Know all about football and most likely never coached or played. If they did it was 3rd string. Was CDD we the championship this year? We lost one game we wasn't supposed to lose. Get a grip! GO VOLS

I love people that can't write complete sentences or present coherent thoughts coming to the defense of this idiot. You are his core support. Less than 365 days.

Definitely not going to be hiring individuals who will be improvements over Wilcox and Sirmon. Just isn't going to happen.

They weren't that great....as many on his site have pointed out at different times over the past 2 years..they were pretty good...but not like they cant be replaced with the same or better ....and as the anthem of vol nation goes...."if you don't want to be at UT then please move on...."

Who gives a sh*t about his grammar? At least he is a positive fan that obviously saw a lot of the good things that happened last year. We really only lost one game we were supposed to win, and would've beaten either FL, UGA, or SC with Hunter and Bray healthy.

Stay positive bro. GO VOLS!!!

We are letting current coaches on staff walk without signing them to extensions while giving their replacements 3 year deals. Let that sink in for a minute. We didn't counter offer Russell, Wilcox, or Sirmon. We let Baggett "retire." We won't try to keep Hiestand from leaving. These guys are all jumping ship in part because Hart will not give them extensions. But, Hart is giving whoever replaces them a 3 year guarantee. That is all.

which makes the buyout for staff replacement, much higher. of course, they are going to have to hire someone to make it go up
