The only reason they aren’t is because they started unranked. Beat Georgia they will be undisputed #1.

UT has no losses to Bama's one loss. Plus UT has wins over #3, #17, #20 and #25 while Bama has only one ranked win over #20

Just saying Bama gained more from playing Tennessee than Tennessee gained from playing Bama……..I love it.

However SOS goes by overall opponents performance thus far in the season.

Bama has played 7 games, played 4 SEC teams and Texas along with playing the current #3 team………thus their SOS is a bit better.

Them playing Tennessee and a 7th game is what gives them a slight edge in SOS.

I’d imagine “had” is a key word there. For example, I “had” us going 8-4/9-3 this year…and my orange colored glasses arm chair quarterback self was clearly wrong.
