Were going to the Outback Bowl. We should be in a BCS bowl game but Erik Ainge had to throw a interception. We can't misjudge Wisconsin like we did Penn State.

I do not believe we misjudged PSU. We had them on the ropes until the fumble and return for a touch. If the fumble had just been recovered, and not returned, we beat them.

But they beat us by 10(I think it was more) how could a fumble return lose the game for us.

he didn't have to do anything. He made two key mistakes. Had receivers gotten open better throughout the game he would've had better choices and hopefully wouldn't have been in that position. His two mistakes are huge, but the O altogether didn't do a good job.

I agree.. Yeah ainge certainly made his share of mistakes but the rest of the offense wasnt that great either.

Where did I ever say that the fumble wasn't a momentum changer? All I said was a fumble return didn't lose the game for us.

I don't think we lose either if we hang on to that football. That changed the complexion of the game and gave Joe Pa all the mo(even though he was in the press box).

Yes it was a big momentum swinger but we still could have been positive and came back and won!

If you guys will remember, this was about the only bowl game that every single analyst agreed upon that Tennessee would win. We are notorious for laying eggs in big games. Our offense should have scored plenty of points so the fumble return shouldn't have beaten us. We need a coach that can take advantage of matchups and utilize our speed advantage. It's almost like Fulmer wants to play to the opponents strength instead of their weakness. He needs to let his talented players make plays and exploit Wisconsins lack of speed. The Volunteers have a chance to win a good bowl game and take momentum into the 2008 season. Will they show up with intensity or still be whining about the SEC championship game? A good coach would have them ready to play and focused on the task at hand.

Besides the fumble, Meach had about as bad a game as I have ever seen him have.

I don't think we misjudged PSU either. Really moot at this point.

I know that Wisconsin will look at this as probably one of their biggest games of the year and will be ready. As I said in a previous thread, 'sconi has a track record of playing SEC teams tough in the bowl games.

IMO losing the bowl game to an inferior opponent again is inexcusable. Wisconsin is the 4th best team in weak conference. We should not have lost to PSU last year. If we lose again this year it means we have gotten worse as a team and not better.

Wisconsin is laffable, but to most of the country so are we.

Winning big games = RESPECT
