On the Record: Fulmer's Return

Should Fulmer have been re-hired as head football coach, following Kiffin's exit?

You correctly mentioned "RUMORS." Hamilton pointed out that Fulmer was not contacted or considered when seeking a new coach, at one of the press conferences.
Hamilton was just trying to keep the suicide rate in Tennessee as low as possible.

I have no sources to cite, but I thought that the chances were somewhere in that range.

I thought that it was this possibility which might have played some role in how immediately - and publicly - he embraced Dooley's hire and offered his support.

Of course, it could have also been coincidental, too.

Tennessee would be unbelievably dumb to hire him as AD. I wouldn't put it by them, however.
It's truly amazing the number of people that think it's a good idea to hand over the reins of what amounts to a multi-million dollar business to a football coach.

I like the Majors-Fulmer co-ad scenario better. I'll give it about half an hour before Johnny Boy figures out where to stick the knife....:)

I'm fine with either of the co-AD scenarios as long as Hammy stays on to clean up any stray shots that get past the new toilets.

you wanna sell out neyland? fulmer-majors co-HC's ... I would pay money to see that for a season ...

It's so embarrassing that 28 people have actually voted to bring that semi-competent loser back. Hope at least some are joking about it.

Too far. Very uncalled for. His time has passed, but he is and always will be a legend, player and coach.
He wrecked the program at the end of his tenure, and people actually think he should have come back? They have to be closet Bama fans.
