On the Doug Matthews Show...

... he said "he feels pretty good coming out of the game. We're improving." Improving from what? Hey dumb dumb Doug- we're in year 3!!! We've lost 5 in a row!!! All by double digits! How is this acceptable to anyone?

Do you know the last time that happened? Here's a hint. We were driving horse and buggies then!

The spin here is amazing. I guess sacrificing ones integrity is a small price to pay to maintain status..

Whatever that is...........

Well on some aspects.....I agree. I see we’re improving and I’m feeling good........improving the chances Pruitt will eventually be fired, and I’m feeling good about that.

Just won’t come soon enough.

I like Doug a lot. He's been a critic many times when it's due. He's simply wrong on this one. Now that pal Phil is at the helm his critisism has been watered down. State ran media perhaps..... I could see this....

What's more interesting is what Mathews didn't say. Talked about how Bailey looked well and was improving. Talked about how the O-line was playing better. Talked about a lot of positives, but did not say a single word about JG. Or at least, not in the first half-hour; I quit listening after that.

Hey I agree it takes time....but year 3 with little to no improvement? Thats tough to defend. It's pretty easy to see the writing on the wall with this but I believe it'll be next year when we pull the 🔌

It's pretty frustrating to see an o-line push around a decent defense in the second half just to see drives torpedoed by poor play from your QB that is largely ineffective in the second half of every game and poor playcalling that goes away from what's working. I think the team looked much more capable of winning than they did against Arkansas...and that's what is so frustrating. I think the talent is there but poor decisions by the coaches are killing the offense...including playing JG when he's obviously struggling.

We had bright spots: oline, grey, and some Bailey. Biggest issue was JG turnover, missed FGs, and that busted coverage. Oh and banks sucked. He can’t tackle for crap.

he said that he is trying to talk about good things and he conceded that there are other ways to look at what is going on.
