It took Florida over a month to find a replacement for Weis...and some of you guys expect Dooley to find a replacement for Wilcox within 9 days? Get some perspective before latching on to every rumor you hear.

If you get an opportunity to coach your kid in your profession that is an opportunity many coaches will cherish and wouldn't give up. It is very understandable. Well I must disagree kind sir. I am heading out for my sixth deployment of 18 months. Now when you couple that with all the time spent at military schools, training and in the field, I think my job as a Soldier has him beat.

Hamilton, talent depth, NCAA snooping, no recent success, tough league/schedule/recruiting, etc etc etc

As soon as the NC game was over posted that Sunseri was the leading guy. That tells me he has know all along that SS was the target and kept it under his hat until after that game. DD had strong reason to believe SS would except the job if he waited until after the game. IMO

Just use Volnation, Twitter, footballscoop, TOS...That's pretty much all the media does anyway, right? "...multiple sources have confirmed..." And it all sounds like most of them are using each other as sources. It's all just one big messed up circle!!!

We didn't go after a quality experienced coach last time....Cutcliffe isn't what I call a quality HC..Calhoun coaches Air Force..And thats really about all We went after..Dooley was an emergency hire and you get what you pay for and We paid for La Techs HC

Ok, I get that. Realistically, we know that CDD has interviewed CSS and thats it. The CRS rumors were just rumors, the Phil Bennett interview has never been confirmed, the other names are names that people have speculated on and no "credible" information has been brought forth to make them legitimate candidates.

What we do know is that CSS was interviewed today and CBG is going to be interviewed tmw.

I appreciate your service very much! Read my post closer it said most jobs. I bet you would tell me that your time with your family is cherished and you would accept less money to spend more time with them if at all possible. Is that accurate?

Not all inevitabilities are predictable, like which words I will misspell. Though "losing" did have a high degree of probability in this regard. "Grammar" probably less probable. Its kind of like unknown unknowns. You guys can do better, the scrutiny is welcome however.

Ignorance of process in this coaching search is difficult for me, having such a life long emotional investment in the Vols. At least with winning and losing (catch that) there is certainty. The business side leaves me full of doubt and behind a shroud of ignorance. It tries the constancy of ups and downs to which I have become accustomed with the game.

Bottom line. Would like to see the recruiting class hold together. Talent will overcome coaching challenges in forging ahead.

Pretty much yeah....But interviewing a coach who's defense ranked 78th in the country is a little unsettling....CBG that is....UT is going to play it cheap

Last time you had a school who had their 1st year head coach bail on them just shortly before national signing day. who was UT supposed to go hire under those circumstances?
