So we might be hiring the LB coach at bama to be DC? Why not Thompson--OUR LB coach, and also from bama, yes? I read on another board that he has said he does not want to be DC, but that seems rather odd to me. Who doesn't want to move up?

If it's not CRS at DC, I'm definitely okay with it being CSS. wrap one of em up!

And I'd like to see 3-4 defense especially if we get McCullers. Too many stud LBs on our roster/coming in to not at least give it a try.

Just curious, was Sunseri recruiting DT Daniel McCullers to 'Bama? If so, I would have to think that if he takes the job then odds of UT getting McCullers would be pretty darn good!

UT would get a steal by getting Sunseri. I'd hate to lose him.

But I'd hate for Bama to lose his son even more.

I think that Sal Sunseri would be a damn good hire....I just dont see him leaving Bama. He is next in line after Kirby leaves....And his son will be a starter on D next year. To me it just doesnt makes any since on why he would come to UT. Just my thoughts.

I feel that if SS is the the DC we won't have issues with recruits backing out of this wknd no matter when it's announced. Who knows how the announcement plays out, but I'm optimistic about this wknd going as planned. Which is good IMO.

Source confirms Sunseri as DC is all but a done deal. Todays meeting a formality to finalize the deal. UT should be announcing shortly.

That's the 15th interview in the last two days that has "went well"; I hope when Derek Dooley gets around to interview some of us on here for the DC position, that our interviews go well too
