Great recruiter, has ties to Hart, is a Saban guy like Dooley and is an SEC guy having been at Bama. Also not really a threat to Dooley.

The guy has a lot of experience. Hopefuly he'll bring another Bama position coach with him if this all pans out.

Does he have experience has a DC? Also if Dooley is scared to hire the best possible coach (Shannon) then we are only treading water.

This. Might be a stretch, but we could use some help. I hated to see Sirmon go as much as Wilcox.

Call me crazy but I think KS will end up as a position coach. Now that is contingent on him being fired at Clemson but that seems possible. He turned down a position job today but he would have lost any buyout money if he took another job before being fired. Maybe wishful thinking but I think possible.

At Illinois St. in '94 and Alabama A&M in '98/'99. Very experienced defensive guy though. Position coach at LSU, MSU, Bama (obviously), and the Carolina Panthers.
