Tennessee actually has the advantage (statistically). In reading the game preview on ESPN.com I was shocked to discover that despite only being 2 games into the season The Vols are averaging:

Total offense - 435 yds (39th nationally) compared to UF's 317.5 (93rd nationally)

Passing- 185 yds compared to 148 yds from UF

Rushing- 257 yds (15th nationally) compared to 175 yds from UF

Scoring 31.5/gm compared to 36/gm from UF

Now, it's probably safe to say that UF hasn't hit their stride and will most likely work out the kinks in their offense, however, this is somewhat reassuring. On this current 5 year win streak they have going (I just puked in my mouth) have we actually had, on paper, a better offense?

We have played stiffer competition, in Oregon only, and they have played there normal pansy early season schedule and we still have put up better numbers.

In short, this is my first thread (I'm sure I'll get reemed for it) but I just wanted to point this out, see if anyone else was aware of this, and see what you guys thought.

Florida Gators vs. Tennessee Volunteers - Preview - September 18, 2010 - ESPN

Interesting. Looks like we are a little more evenly matched than people think.

If we keep it in the 20`s we can win - if it get`s in the 30`s or higher could get ugly! 24-21 Vols GBO!!!

My prediction is more based on a complete Florida meltdown. They've had 2-3 good quarters this season. They're no longer in the swamp, and our guys should be able to capitalize on the big game experience they got last week. We just have to stay solid in the second half. We will, and the Vols will win 34-14.

FYI, I picked Oregon last week 48-13. The final was 48-14, so obviously I'm psychic.

Florida has a bad offense at this point.

People who are pretending that it does not hurt losing Rainey are idiots.

If they lost Demps, they would be left with an offense that would be about as scary as we were when our "big play" receiver was Austin Rogers.

Brantley is not a scrambler. Miami Ohio and USF were able to pressure him, and if our line cannot get 4-6 sacks against Brantley I will be shocked.

This is the week Justin Hunter or Da'Rick Rogers breaks out. Simms will have to rely on short passes, so look for one of these 2 to have great YAC. They will do this against some VERY good FL DBs.
