??? on NFL Invitational Draft Combines

Are underclassmen invited to these combines? I saw a list of Vols invited, but Meachem wasn't on it. Is that because he was an underclassman or because he hasn't officially declared yet? It seems weird that reports have been out that he is gone but he hasn't announced it yet. And it is even weirder that he wasn't invite since he is one of the 3 best Vols supposedly entering the draft and whose stock will very much depend on combine results.

Meachem can just do his workouts at UT's facilities, anyway. I think most of the guys that expect to go high in the draft opt to do their workouts at their own place. It seems like it would be easier and that you would perform better.

i read somewhere that meachem is preparing for the combine in Arizona and they there is some type of combine for underclassmen...

Well, if true, that's a shame. I would have thought he would have at least had an official announcement or press conference.

Underclassmen are invited to the combine, my guess is that they'll invite the underclassmen after Monday's deadline.

I thought Meachem was going to declare for the draft but not sign with an agent which would allow him to come back if he didn't like his draft selection. I also think the reason he wasn't invited to "The Combine" was because it was for graduating Seniors.

The NFL draft Combine is for both Seniors and underclassmen. The deadline for underclassmen to declare is tomorrow the 15th, then the NFL combine will invite the prospects they want to participate.
