On Lambert and JUCO's in general....

You want to throw Butch under the bus because he loses Lambert? He signed 3 immediate impact players and will probably end up with at least a top 5 class. There will be other decommits because we are now over the signing limit and there are more good players that we can add before NSD. The staff has planned it that way.

Where did I throw CBJ under the bus? If saying he needs to turn things around and get UT back to winning is throwing him under the bus, then, all aboard, cause I will drive that bus. The man deserves some time to put the pieces back together but "some time" doesn't equal unlimited time. I hope he pulls it off, but I'm a Vol fan posting on VolNation. I want the Vols to return to the top. If I was all about kissing CBJ's rear, I'd find a site called ButchNation.

It occurs to me that site just might exist, but probably has nothing to do with football.

Your right crap happens. Did we really want Lambert? Yes. Is he a killer loss that is deveatating?? No. I live in reality too and know what goes on within the program so you can jump off the ledge whenever you want.

I'm going to jump off the ledge, the Rocky Top Ledge and land in the Orange and White end zone :hi:

it stings that UT didn't get Lambert,it would have been great to have him as a Vol,but CBJ and company will move on

Yes, it is great to have some good players who come in immediately and help. Pearson, Blair, and Williams will help next year alot. But the big day is in Jan when classes start and the HS EE's get in. If you want to build a foundation like CBJ does that is the most important date. Hey Lambert would have been great. He would have helped, but I would rather have 4 year guy. We need depth. We got in the state we are in because we lived off JUCO's for a year and had all the 4 year guys transfer. SO, JUCO= good. 4 year guys = program builders

Very true. But honestly 3-4I juco's per class is good. Even Ala takes several a yr, but teams like
Miss St have been known to live off juco guys and just dont see that building team chemistry and continuity. Kinda how UK does by getting all the McDonald All Americans that are one and done.

Yes it is...The good players leave early for the NFL all the time.

They do and many leave when they have no business doing it. Either getting bad advice or just wanna get out of college. Honestly Bray should have stayed but glad he didnt because he wouldnt have gotten to play after the Luther Davis ordeal but Darrington Sentimore had no business thinking he was an NFL guy. Would have loved to had him on the DLine this year
