It's not like we're deep at tight end and "fullback" right now. Is there someone on the LB depth chart who would get on the field quicker if he switched?

I'm betting we've got some posters who have played H-back at some level, and have knowledgeable opinions about the optimal size, speed, and skill set for an SEC H-back.

I was a 5'10 148 lbs TE in high school rated at 0 stars, hell truth be told I was probably on the minus scale of stars. As previously mentioned not optimal size or speed. Actually not much talent to speak of, but I'd say I had at least a 3* heart.
Wait that was a previous regime.......................

Was Miles Campbell an early enrollee? If so, him.

Reginald Perry, currently DL, played basketball in high school and can be used as Full Back option. I think he played some TE in high school.

Pope is our best blocking TE. He or Fant will be our starting H-back at the beginning of the season. If Pope can remember how to catch, he’s going to do well in this offense.

I'll be very disappointed if Heupel isnt signficantly better at getting talented players on the field and getting the ball to them than Pruitt & Co. And I dont mean putting a kid in the game and immediately running a play for him, then taking him out a la the infamous "Oneal reverse" from Fulmer days.....

Back in the early 2000s, everytime they put Kenny (?) Oneal, a 5* JC WR who couldnt catch cold, in the game they ran a reverse for him that the defense totally expected resulting in loss yardage. Then he'd come out of the game not to be seen again that day. Next game, same stupid $hit.

Most physical is likely Pope if he’s back 100% from injury... Fant would likely be next in line and progressed well once JG was out of the lineup... Wildcard is Jacob Warren... He bulks up, kid could blow up at TE/H-back.

My untrained eye thought it saw a bunch of incredible athletes in last years class. We got glimpses of Hyatt and Small, less than that of Holiday, Wideman, Callaway, and of course Beckwith. All the kind of guys you want to get into space. We did not get to see Whitehead but he had some amazing numbers for a guy his size and I will mention Hodge as a solid RB prospect as well. May be a tough go with new schemes and coaches, but we are not empty of young offensive skill talent. I am looking hard for bright spots. Seems these guys would fit what we are headed to based on what I have seen of UCF clips. A full year at the training table could not hurt.
