In the recent presser, Monte was talking about a new facility that was under construction (I believe he mentioned something about being it being built within 6 weeks)

What facility was he talking about? The new updates to Neyland? I thought the "players" section of Neyland -Training/Locker Room, Letterman's Lounge, Media Center was complete.

The whole presser was just a big recruiting spiel.

I believe he was referring to the new football offices planned to be moved out of Stokley Athletic Center. At some future point Stokley will be razed and a new academic building will go in it's place. I believe the new football building will be finished in 6-9 months. Six weeks? Monte, it's construction, not football. You can't make it move that fast.

Doesn't make sense. All of the football offices are in the Neyland-Thompson Center already, have been since the facilty was built in '88.

Marketing, Development, and the AD's office moved to the McKenzie-Lawson Center when they made the indoor practice field the full 100 yards. Baseball and Golf are moving to offices at their respective facilities too.

The only offices left in Stokley are Sports Information, Track & Field, various women's athletics administration people, and the Lady Vols' training room.

 weird

Maybe they can sell the bricks for collectors to hang next to their Neyland turf?

I had architecture labs and classes in Alumni Gym and Estabrook Hall in the mid 70's before the Art & Architecture Building was built. It was not in great shape 35 years ago but the Lady Vols still played there to minimal crowds. The men were at Stokely where they also held class registration by handing out computer punch cards every semester.
