If the NFL won't suspend a guy for something as vicious as that, what does it take to get suspended? Pulling a knife out of your sock?

The NFLPA is a shell of a union. If Goodell doesn't levy a long suspension, it's on his head.

Did anyone else hear Peter King state that Fisher had promised Parcells that if the league didn't do enough that he would make sure that haynesworth was dealt with properly...good stuff from fisher.
I think Fisher has long since had enough of Fat Albert's act.

between leonard little, Haynesworth, and Dewayne Goodrich, there's been there fair shair of bad publicity for ex-vols in the NFL.

Sit his punk rear end down for the year. He has had a bad attitude for awhile now. Maybe sitting and watching will give him a much needed attitude adjustment. $50,000 fine, year end suspension, and a apology to the player and the Cowboys. Come on Albert get your crap together...you are a professional...act like one!:realmad:

Haynesworth...
"I apologize to Andre," Haynesworth said. "What I did was disgusting. It's something that should never happen. I mean, I'm not a dirty player. I don't play dirty. I have respect for the game. What I feel like is I disgraced the game, disgraced my team and disgraced my last name."

There is no room for this in the game. He won't be, but he oughta be tossed for the season. Maybe longer. Pure insanity.

Jeff Fisher must have wrote that for him because that's exactly right. He disgraced his name and the game of football. Should be severly fined and suspended. I honestly hope Fisher cuts him from the team.

I would think that a 320 pound man wielding a metal cleat in your face as you lay defenseless, with your back turned nonetheless, constitutes some type of assault. Is this something that could get prosecuted?

Lawyers please jump in, I'm curious.

If it would have been T.O. that he had done it too. It would have possibly been acceptable. He needs popped with a 100k dollar fine, year suspension no pay, and maybe 3 months jail time.

I think he is gone for the season.

No chance. He may get suspended for up to 3 games, but I don't see any chance of him getting suspended for the season. Fisher's announcement that he would ensure that Haynesworth's punishment is severe if he doesn't feel that the league's punishment is severe enough is admirable. I have always had a lot of respect for Fisher, and this is a fine example of why. Not only is the man a great coach. He also has a tremendous amount of integrity.

Integrity my ass. He has let that pip squeak do nothing Pac Man Jones get away with anything he wants.

Examples please. Pac Man Jones got in trouble with the law, but I haven't heard anything about him getting away with anything he wants on the football field (in practice or in games). Of course, I don't live in Tennessee so I don't hear the local news on the Titans.

There's a lot of resentment right now toward Fisher from people that live in Tennessee because the team is horrible. However, that isn't Fishers' fault. That's the fault of the owner and GM who let the team's salary cap situation get so out of control that they ended up having to unload almost every decent player on the team to get back under the cap. The Titans were never a very talented team in the first place. Fisher did a great job of winning a lot of games for years with average talent.

I can't even count the numerous times Pacman has been sat out of whole games or extended periods of games for actions on and off the field.

Okay. That means that Fisher has integrity. He's not taking crap from his players. When they screw up, he holds them accountable.

I hate the Titans, so I am not bashing them because of their losing. Jones has been allowed to get away with stuff on the field. The personal fouls mainly.

I don't like the Titans either, but Fisher is a great coach. If the personal fouls are being called, then Jones isn't getting away with them. If they were particularly agregious, then Fisher would be addressing them as a team matter just like he's said that he will address Haynesworth's situation if it's not handled satisfactorily by the league.

What should the penalty be for a personal foul? Every one that I've seen him make, it is followed by a tantrum befitting that of a 7 year old, a trip to the sideline, a chewing out by Fisher, and a viewing of the next few plays from the bench.

Pacman Jones was a known commodity at the time he was drafted too. That's another example of the Titans' owner and GM screwing up.
