Maybe, but I thought he was done with football and the coaches talked him into coming back for one more year. Apparently he is the best we have behind Cooper so I'm grateful he came back.

I just wanted to show some sort of appreciation for a player who stepped into a tough roll when we needed someone too. I'm not claiming he's a very good player. I just thought coming back for the team, who is very short on oline, was a classy move. That's all.

VQ staff said Nichols had a bad fall camp. He’s a RS-Fr so he has plenty of time to get stronger and smarter.
