If there is another thread like this I'm sorry and please merge. That being said, for all you recruiting guru's, are there any Ole Miss commits that we would be interested? Just asking since Nutt is out as coach. Thanks!!

Having said that...
The biggest reason for Nutt's downfall was the level of his recruits.

Being way too kind by saying he is "just not that good of a coach". Nutt is bad.

All you need to know about Houston Nutt is that he thought Malzahn was an awful OC. Then look at who he hired as his offensive coordinator at Ole Miss.

Actually Nutt is a pretty good coach. He's just not a great recruiter and he was at Ole' Miss. You can't make a silk purse from a sow's ear.

Yep, he has always been a good recruiter. Just an awful coach. If Malzahn goes to Ole Miss, they will be a 8-9 win team on a yearly basis. The current team's talent on offense would thrive in Malzahn's offense.

This is one of the dumber statements I've seen in a while. Nutt recruited better than anyone has ever recruited at Ole Miss. He had two running backs at Arkansas that now both start in the NFL on the same team and he never did crap. He's a joke.

I think Nutt wears on players. They are initially impressed and inspired by him, but then as they get to know him, they lose respect. He always has his best season in his first year at a program.

My posts on GoVolsExtra (or whatever they call it now) are blocked because I finally slammed a troll the other night (he needed it big time ~ probably works for them anyway). They will not answer my emails. GVX247 sucks.

i know ole miss had a couple good ones last year we wanted pretty bad and with our running back situation why not offer mathers if pender doesnt come ole miss had a wide reciever and linebacker we were after last year real good players i think they start will they transfer if the coach is a no name

1. Ole Miss was kinda low on recruiting because, come on, who didn't think Nutt was gone? That should pick up with a new guy who looks really impressive or should nosedive because they hire a retread or a noob.

2. Mathers doesn't seem interested in Tennessee. At all. I don't even think he goes anywhere else in case of a new coach who talks a good game comes to Mississippi.

I agree. When orgerons gradumatated, the production stopped. OL orangutan, sure can recruit. And cheat, and drink, and cuss, and embarrass himself.
