One final pre season thought, then it’s go time.. it’s so close now I can smell it!!

Apart from the fake injuries and the horrible calls in the Ole Miss game, the last play was not a first down. They made the right call which led to bedlam, but it was the right call. That and Corral running for about 200 on us, I can swallow that one and move on.

The Purdue game, our guy had a touchdown, and we would have won. They made the wrong call. The fact that the play didn’t stop and players were still going 100 on both sides, proves the whistle hadn’t blown yet and forward progress hadnt stopped. His knee wasn’t down before he reached the ball to the goal line. That one is still hard to get over for me.

But we persevere and press on!

Looking forward to a very very exciting season with lots of big orange wooooooos 🍊 🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊🍊

I don’t think people are upset about the 4th and long call. Probably upset about a strip sack TD that was blown dead for literally no reason.

Both games were taken from us. We won 9 games in my mind.

10. The ridiculous short spot on Hooker in the Pitt game (not to mention the questionable call on Banks that wiped out Jackson’s TD off the punt block) cost us that game.

The OP is correct that Warren was short in the OM game, but other calls like the Baron TD that was called back, were awful.

The strip sack that was reversed was a blown call. This not only took a TD off the board for us but negated a huge momentum swing in our favor.

Anyways that was last season and a fresh slate moving forward this year.

Did anybody ever see live or in replay where any official ran in, with arms waving and whistle blowing and point down to the spot where it was eventually placed after the discussion with the other coach while lining up for the extra point? Down by contact, out of bounds ruling, or whistle for forward progress is the only way to end a run play. Anybody see any of those three things occur? Too distant in my memory to make the call.

Guys please stop with the scoop score stuff. We wrapped Corral up took him backwards 2 or 3 yards and spun him around and the ball comes out. That will NEVER stand as a fumble. Besides, make one stop on defense and it’s a different game.

Yup, the 4th down call was just the final straw as it were. The inexplicable TD callback and the continuous flopping had the crowd on a low boil already

My biggest complaint in the Bowl game was UT defenders being flagged for breathing on a Purdue receiver, then the final drive in regulation the Purdue DB almost takes Tillman's jersey off as he blew past him. Complete that pass Tillman scores or McGrath hits a chip shot FG, and there is no OT.
