Ole Miss game info for 1st timer?

Downtown Mem is about an hour and a half without traffic. You may want to take 78 to Holly Springs, MS and then take highway 7 into Oxford. That will likely be less traffic than 55 South -> highway 6.

Wouldn't recommend 78 jus because 6 is two lanes and from 55 it's 4 but that's jus me

If you're going to try and eat on the square tonight, I suggest getting there extra early due to every place being an hour wait. Also most of the restaurants quit serving food at 10 PM. Looking forward to a fun weekend.

Square Jam is also tonight, which means the Square will be blocked off for the basketball team's to host their event. It's a really cool thing to attend, but you'll want to get to the square as early as possible.

A few of my friends left last night and took 18 to Hwy 7 and ran into a road block. Be careful and wishing all fans to safe while traveling to Oxford.

So question Ole Miss guy...Can I take a cooler on the shuttle and walk around with it on campus as long as I pour travelers into cups?

Just drove up 7. It's 55 but I followed the flow of traffic at 70 the whole way. There's some construction at one point where they seem to be building a new bridge to the side of the main road. Shouldn't stop traffic unless they have some trucks pulling out at the time you pass through. Already seen a few UT flags flying and it was a sight for these sore eyes.

Not sure about the cooler on the shuttle. If I had to guess you can bring it on board. You are allowed to walk around campus with a cooler. If you're pouring beer into a cup be discreet about it because for some reason liquor and wine is allowed on campus but beer is not.

Thanks you sir.

Just mapped it all out and someone can correct me if I'm wrong, but everything looks pretty walkable from the Mall Parking lot. I'm thinking about taking a cooler backpack and hoofing it. I was concerned about having to chase a shuttle everywhere. My brother and I will be there around 1pm. Beyond excited.

That is how I see and if we can get a spot there we will be walking.

Anyone who is or has taken the shuttle before. Looking at parking at either the middle school or high school.

Won't be leaving Memphis until 2, so leaning towards the high school since it's a little further away and may be less crowded.

Any thoughts or suggestions?

There are two bus stops in the mall parking lot and it runs about every 5-10 minutes, it's definitely walkable but I'd suggest taking the shuttle unless you want the exercise

In 2009, we had a very large contingent of orange in Horne stadium. Hopefully, it's the same tonight. Tonight is "wear blue" in Oxford, so the orange will really stand out!
