Thanks for the post 66. I gotta be honest, I'm still a little bummed about Moberg.

Thanks 66, good info.

The team ERA is impressive, hopefully we can get some good production from whomever steps into the leadoff role.

from Mark Etheridge, D1 Baseball.com

...While the first three one-loss teams are no surprise, the fourth team is a bit of an overachiever. Ole Miss is 17-1 with a 12-game winning streak. The Rebels have a huge series win over Louisville – who handed them their only loss. The Rebels also swept Florida International in a weekend series and took a pair of midweek games at UAB. Ole Miss’ success has leaned heavily on its pitching staff which is fourth in the SEC in ERA at 2.30. They travel to Tennessee (11-5) this weekend, and it will be particularly interesting to see how Chad Smith and Sean Johnson, among others, perform.

Heading into conference play, here are the RPI ranks of the SEC:

1 Florida
3 Ole Miss
6 South Carolina
20 Texas A&M
22 Vanderbilt
23 Georgia
31 LSU
54 Mississippi State
67 Tennessee
72 Kentucky
92 Alabama
139 Missouri
168 Auburn
191 Arkansas

Not sure we have anyone than can come in and do what "Mighty Mo" was doing. Just another tough break for the team. Next man up...

On paper it looks like a great match up.

The one advantage I see see for Ol Miss is the depth of bullpen. 11 pitchers under 3.0 era? Crazy good.
