I remember my Dad setting up a tripod to snap pictures of the tv set to record 715.

I was in the press box that night, assigned to gather post-game quotes for my boss and to come up with a sidebar. Went with Tom House, who caught Hanks' shot in the Braves' bullpen.

I then was on my own for the rest of the LAD series and the following one since I was taking over Braves coverage for the rest of the spring and summer

Nice one…I’m more of a fan of Sir Rod Stewart‘s didi with the same Title Name…3-4 years later…

I found this song while scrolling on X. I remember hearing
the song back in '84 but had forgotten about it completely.
Rod Stewart's version is totally different from this version.

only that year and soon moved from alabammur, taking a job in Durham, NC, where I was the golf editor while covering ACC sports, primarily Duke, NC State, and UNC. I never worked baseball again (I was a college basketball junkie), but cherish the memories of being on the diamond pre-game and all the fascinating people I met.
