OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

Allow me to take a moment to praise Freak and this site. I just got a two weekend suspension from the political section of another sports board. Know what I did? In referring to a trans person I decided not to use he or she. So I said this "person"... My crime? I put quotation marks around person. I kid you not. That was the violation.

SCREW @Freak ...I got 2-3 weeks for actually calling @W.TN.Orange Blood a "Person"...

Freak said..."DROP the DAMN...

Wow, Estrella and Boswell. Portal and NIL have just killed college sports. I guess I can’t blame them for going after the money, get it while you can.
That portal door swings both ways. Just have to have confidence in the Deacon and his staff. Thus far, Barnes and staff have functioned well in the NIL/Portal space.

What erks me is they were not in the portal. How are they getting offers from schools if they aren’t in the portal.
That needs to be stopped. Players should be off limits, unless they are in the portal.

I liked Burger Chef back in the 1960s. A friend I ran around with
his mother worked for one here in Jackson at time. I'd eat their
food all the time. They were in competition w/McDonalds then.
So...how long did you cook a smash burger for the best crust and did you use any toppings other than OMP? Crisco? Lard? Butter? Aioli of some kind back in the day? Serious question. I remember some of those burger were so darned good. Nothing today really compares.

I only ate the food. I didn't cook it. I was like 13-14 yo at the time.
