Your "magical" notion of causation is backwards. The press conference after the fact did not cause what preceded it. It was a post hoc "gotcha" moment for those fans who were searching for a way to suppress what everyone else had seen with their own eyes.

Does anyone think Pat would have dismissed Ruby for her first 4 a.m. arrest? Or for her second 4 a.m. arrest – and that while she was literally on probation (with the courts, I don't know about the team), but was shortly before the season started? Because the team was basically built around her. Or would Pat have let her play? (And note that the latter would mean that Caldwell was a more strict disciplinarian that Pat.)

It's always seemed to me that the problem started with team members taking Ruby's side. And sabotage from within.

I don't think you're helping the team or the program with this stuff. You yourself indicate that you are baiting for likes. And trying to make it about yourself.

Or trying to make people forget that you were a big fan of the hire and of DW.

We need cooler heads. Not actions that will be used against our team in the portal and recruiting when we absolutely need a great portal haul and to hold on to recruits.

I don’t have to bait for likes. Zero financial incentive for me. You can argue it’s not helping the team, but honestly many others (myself included) are using our voices to highlight the complete !* show of what our women’s basketball program has become because we want to see the program restored. You’re welcome to use your platform to voice an alternate opinion. That’s the beauty of free speech.

A former all women's college. Queens, if I remember correctly. Didn't cheat! You mentioned in a baseball game thread once, irrc. I wouldn't have known otherwise.

And brother, I didn't mean any offense or take any offense to your comment earlier. You may very well be correct that using my platform to voice a negative opinion isn’t helpful. But at this point there’s not much left to hurt. You’ll never see me use it to criticize players and once the portal opens and we start getting new recruits I go from vocal and angry back to support the team, because that’s the right thing to do. I appreciate your opinion.
