QB TJ Finley will play at Incarnate World, an FCS school, next season. That will be his seventh program in seven years.

He originally signed with LSU as part of the 2020 class.

Because he played through the abridged COVID-19-impacted season as a true freshman, the year did not count against his eligibility.

Transferred to Auburn, appeared in nine games in 2021, and four in 2022, before suffering an injury and redshirting the rest of the season.

Transferred to Texas State, where he enjoyed his best season in 2023, passing for 3,439 yards and 24 touchdowns. However, Texas State signed Arizona transfer Jayden de Laura to be its starter the following offseason. Finley left. But de Laura never played for the Bobcats after being denied admission due to a sexual assault conviction during his time with the Wildcats)

Transferred to Western Kentucky and suffered a season-ending injury in 2024, earning a medical redshirt for the remainder of the season.
Transferred to Tulane for 2025, but never took the field due to an indefinite suspension after an arrest for possession of stolen property.

Transferred to Georgia State for the 2025 season, won the starting job in preseason camp, but was beaten out at midseason and entered the portal again earlier this month.

The father of three has played 41 career games:

7,372 yards, 43 touchdowns with 27 interceptions.

“Earning a medical redshirt”. You should only be allowed to claim a RS once. No multiples. If you get injured multiple times then so be it. That’s not your fault but it is how the cookie crumbles. Tough luck and get ready to deal with the real world.
