Interesting….247 Sports didn’t list TN in their top 50 for 2025, and are only listed as #18 for the 2026 portal class and were #29 in 2024. What numbers are you looking at? Looks below mid to me…

The Avg player rating. Looks like some schools have been adding some over the weekend but looks like we are 7th. Our 8 players average out to be rated 89.63. That’s the number to look at, not the total points because several schools get a high number of transfers to inflate that number. We’re looking for quality players, not quantity.

Edit: the link you sent takes you to 2024. If you change it to 2026, Texas is the only team ahead of us in average player ranking for transfers…

There’s a clear distinction between the offensive transfers and the defensive.

We don’t really need a lot on offense this cycle though. We’re pretty much set at OL, TE, WR, RB. All we need is a QB. Defense was atrocious and needed a complete overhaul. That’s exactly what they are doing.

Remember whenever Butch got the 4th ranked class for 2015? All the other teams inside the top 10 had higher average player ratings. The only reason our total points were so high was because we had 30 commitments so the numbers were inflated. In actuality we were really like 10th-12th if you looked at the average.

Now i have a reason to cheer for the Bills next round! Not a big fan of Josh Allen, respect though.

Idk why people are. He’s a really down to earth dude and does so much in that community. He is basically to Buffalo what Peyton was/is to Indianapolis.

I would take him on the Titans in a heartbeat. If he were on your Texans y’all would be the top seed and Super Bowl favorites imo.
