Really good points, VP.I think the team does care about it or else they wouldn’t have had a team meeting on how to handle Boo. If it were a nothing burger then Heupel would have said as much in the press conference about the issue initially and all of this would have gone away. Probably wouldn’t even be hearing about him being late. But Boo continues to make poor decisions even after it seemed he was on his way back into good graces. Literally the bare minimum of any team sport is showing up and participating in practice. What makes this even worse is these kids claim they want to make a career out of this sport. A NFL team will only put up with the nonsense if you are producing for them but even then it comes to a point where they will cut/trade you if you are not showing up/habitually late to practice.
“our teams”??@CobbWebb71
Looks like our teams are about cooked this season in MLB. Oh well there's always next season...
Time to take out the trash. It has expired and is starting to smell. The team does not deserve these distractions. Make it go away.I think the team does care about it or else they wouldn’t have had a team meeting on how to handle Boo. Unfortunately, much of the drama is driven by his Mother‘s social media posts.Yeah, it's gotten to be too much. I wonder though...how much of the drama is driven by the media, and how much is driven by message boards and social media, and does the team really care about it? If the team doesn't care, play on.
Feel however you want about him. I don’t care for he or most media people but objectively, why would he have a need to make something up like that and tarnish a player’s reputation? We already know Boo was missing team meetings/offseason workouts to begin with so this seems par for the course with him. Add in his momma’s big mouth and you can see what kind of dynamic they bring in. It wouldn’t serve Basilio to lie other than getting views in the short term and then if it is found to be false he loses viewers. I just wish every parent could see the way Mashack’s momma represented her son and the university. That’s how to be an outspoken and supportive parent for a D-1 athlete.Reports: Basillyo. Fuq dat dude.
Fans are going to be fans and run their mouth regardless of who you are. Parents shouldn’t engage with them unless they want to hear not only the good things but the bad things about their child’s behavior as it relates to on the field issues. It’s nothing personal towards Boo, I would be saying this about any player in any sport if they weren’t showing up for practice. I just can’t comprehend a player not being a part of the team. That just doesn’t resonate with me and if you aren’t going to be a part of the journey then move on somewhere else. We might not find a replacement for you this season but we’ve had much better players in the past and will have much better players in the future. He isn’t anything we haven’t seen before. His momma isn’t a fan of Tennessee so she just needs to keep our name out of her damn mouth and worry about improving her son’s public image so he can have a NFL career.True. I kinda wish fans would just ignore her. Easier to say, than do I suppose.
I don’t either and my Tennessee apparel purchasing will go down because of it. I have enjoyed all of Nike’s selection. Always have and always will. I am excited Danny White has found a way to keep up with the Joneses though because Adidas is a willing NIL partner. So we don’t have to worry about renaming Neyland Stadium or anything like that.I just don’t like adidas.
Good point.I prefer to think of this Adidas logo in the background of the hoisting of the crystal ball.
