Some extra jawing after today's game w/the Vandy Boys.

And this is why we are 7-8 at home. Zero leadership on this team. Take your loss and go tf home. If you don’t want the opponent celebrating on your home field then maybe you should have cared enough to do something about it while the game was going on. I hope Tony lit into their asses after the game.

Thanks, Boss.

You need to take a breath VP.

It will be o.k.

Of course, I did call my mom after the game to tell her I am embarrassed to be the child of two Vanderbilt grads, (oh, and "Happy Mother's Day), so it is not like I wasn't disappointed, but man, enjoy the ride!

If there is one thing we should have learned these last five years, it is that we never know how the season will end up. 2022 Vols. Ole Miss winning a title. WE win title.

Stay with 'em till the end!

Which one of the Freshmen do you want to be the leader? Curley is a upperclassmen but he is a laid back California dude. Ensley? The transfer ?

Hell any one of them will suffice. Age has nothing to do with leadership. Sometimes a true freshman can be a better leader than a senior. This team has zero identity.

With all the turnover if this team makes it to a Super Regional to me that's a terrific season after losing all we lost in offense and pitching from last season.

It looks like Coach Tony needs to get on that recruiting stick & bring in some grade AAA players in that will make you a happy camper. Bitching & griping about it constantly doesn't help the situation to win more games. I see it as Tony's problem. He gets the big bucks to figure this out .... not you or any casual fan.

I keep thinking “Thank goodness for Ole Miss’ screw up.” because we would really be rock bottom without Doyle or Fischer. Imagine how good that team would be right now had they stayed put. They would surely be a top 4 SEC team and probably in the mix for the regular season title.

Different
I thought so too. Maybe I was expecting it to be the way people who went 20 years ago described it. Idk. Somewhat more commercial than I imagined. Also had two nieces in tow for their college graduation present. They dragged us to a couple of places I would have missed: dancing, a hot springs park with a lot of fiberglass, and riding horses (mine a beast appropriately named Loco). But we got to hike at Arenal Volcano National Park. Two days in the cloud forest, including the Monteverde Reserve. And went to two great beaches, including my favorite Manuel Antonio National Park. Some of the food was too touristy, but we found a couple of great spots with time. Including a place that served a fabulous whole fish. Went back the second night and ordered the same thing! I did walk around one day drinking the milk from a punctured coconut through a straw and in my shades, so who I am to talk about being touristy. My first time eating ceviche, which I now make and love. The monkeys were a bunch of hellions. Saw a mama sloth and baby. We moved around a lot as you can tell, so it wasn't the kind of laid back beach trip that wifey loves. I usually err on the side of trying to see too much. My first time in Latin America. The more time that passes, the more fondly I remember the trip. Maybe it will be that way for you.

This isn’t a Tony issue. It’s a player issue. Recruiting is fine, actually more than fine. Elite actually.

I've still got my hopes on us making Omaha, whether rightly or ridiculously is anyone's guess. Or at least to a super regional. Anything can happen. But I'm not getting overwrought about our losses and defects as we go. A lot of disappointment lately. All the old timers taught me to expect anything, that baseball is unpredictable, and to appreciate where our program is these days. Some of the folks who taught that to this (still sorta) newbie have been biggly melting down lately, which is sort of ironic. Four years ago (my first season) they said that was a "newbie" thing to do. Anyone who pays attention can learn a lot in this forum.
