I think it’s ironic we spell Hell as “H-E-double hockey sticks” even though it’s too hot to play hockey there.

I never spelled it w/hockey sticks. Just used two LL's.

The Northeast Region was dominated by the Maine Black Bears. Made CWS appearance 5 times in 6 years from 1980-1986. Also was in CWS in 1976.

Unfortunately most of the best baseball in college is played in southern states and some western states so a geographical tournament doesn’t work in today’s world. I would be all for it but the talent distribution would make it extremely difficult to field a competitive CWS.

@MAD your Pistons are in the playoffs after having the worst record in the NBA last year. It’s the single biggest turnaround in NBA history as no team has ever gone from a worse record to having a playoff berth the following season. Congrats
