Some people aren’t in a great position to be parents at the time of the baby’s birth. I won’t fault someone for giving their child up for adoption if they feel someone else can legitimately give that baby a better life. You can’t let pride get in the way of that. If they had decided to raise Faith then who knows, she never would have become the musical artist we all know.
I agree 💯 with this. You certainly hit the 🎯 target w/this reply.

Lucky SOB. My deceased wife once told me she (Faith Hill) was an adopted baby.
I couldn't believe it upon hearing that. I bet her real parents regretted that decision now.
I bet her *biological* parents are so glad her “real” parents provided Faith the opportunities and encouragement to be all she could be. 😉

Adoption was a blessing to all those families - biological, adoptive and the Mcgraws!

The day that sweet teenage girl looked up and my wife and I, extended that swaddled child up towards my bride and said, “Would you like to hold your son?”

That has been the most memorable moment of my life.
