Don’t be surprised to see some changes for next year’s CFP…

Has to be unanimous vote don't see it happening til 2026 season when a unanimous vote isn't needed.

I thought they were the Pilots before the Mariners.

Also I know they weren’t on the list because they had changed names, but the Yankees were once the Highlanders, right?

Pilots became the Brewers.

Many believe that the Yankees shed their original Highlanders nickname in 1913, when they abandoned rickety Hilltop Park in favor of the Polo Grounds.

Why couldn't our guys have waited? I was told guys couldn't afford to wait when our guys were bailing before our playoff game
Unless they were told to move on, it was a “me first” selfish decision by those players. Everyone is a free agent and playing at 5 schools in 5 years will destroy college athletics.

Not sure, but here are the rules:

The NCAA college football transfer portal has two windows for the 2024-2025 academic year:
  • Winter window: Opens on December 9, 2024 and closes on December 28, 2024
  • Spring window: Opens on April 16, 2025 and closes on April 25, 2025
Exceptions to the deadline

  • Postseason play
Players who participate in the postseason have an additional five-day window to enter the portal
  • Head coaching change
Players who experience a head coaching change have an immediate 30-day window to enter the portal

With nearly every other SEC school making their spring football game part of a huge weekend of athletic events. Tennessee goes out of its way to do the opposite.

I know it's not as big a deal since baseball tix are a tough get, but to no surprise, the O&W game is being played with:

Baseball on roadt
Softball on road
Women's tennis on road
Men's tennis at home on Friday and Sunday
No track event at home
Swimming season concluded

Why does the athletic department do this?
