Some managers tend to out think themselves.
Bryce Miller took the Mariners into the 5th, down 1-0.
Manager makes the call to the pen because Miller loaded the bases and Harper was up.
Well, it’s now 5-0 Phillies and the guy that came out of the pen in relief of Miller, has already been pulled.

BTW, I’m kinda partial to the name Bryce Miller, my boy has a nice collection of his memorabilia.
We’ve been following him since his Texas A&M days.

You're very welcome! I sent everyone some who requested until I ran out. The funniest part was sending letters to folks with no names. Some poor mail carrier was like, who da hell is Volpack22?? :) All joking aside, I'm happy to be able to share some joy from the moment with folks. As the confetti fell, I thought I got to get some of this for my VN friends who can't be here tonight. We're all in this together and you guys and gals have been good to be the last 1/2 decade. What a magical few years it's been. I still watch the replay from the title win once a week (no joke) and can't wait until we keep this rolling in 2025. Go Vols!

We always said a team we least expected to win would win it all. Lose your Friday starter and be forced to have an opening situation to open your SEC weekend and shifting a weekday starter to the Sunday spot. Nobody in their right mind would think that team would win the national championship. I know I sure didn’t. I was a skeptic at first but as the season went on the pitching followed suit. Just a magical season that won’t ever be replicated imo.
