I like tennis, I don’t think it’s an easy sport to follow at the university level but I could be wrong.

I like tennis, I don’t think it’s an easy sport to follow at the university level but I could be wrong.

It the best sport we have that nobody seems to care about. I would like to win a national title in that sport and feel we could at some point. We have been very close quite a few times.

I gave tennis up 50 something years ago. It's bad on the ankles & the knees for me.
In my younger days. I'd go watch friends play to tear up their ankles & knees.

Very cool…how would you say the youth tennis is in Knoxville? I think the entire American system needs a rehaul. We have far too few Americans playing high D-1 level tennis and need to really promote that as an avenue in this country.

Yeah, it’s pretty sad, my kids play USTA events, it’s the same kids every team, some of them constantly hit moonshots, and the kids call out/in on their own and some of them blatantly cheat. But, have had some really good matches through those.

For me it has to be watching Hank hit 715 when I was 10.
