Braves have decided to make a game of it. Cards up 8-6 T8. Olson is now to 46 HR and 115 RBI on the season. If he hit for a better average he would seriously win the NL MVP. Riley up to 34 bombs now after his 7th inning dong. This team is just never going to be out of any game with the power throughout the lineup.

Urías was officially place on administrative leave today per the MLB domestic violence policy. If he is suspended due to these allegations he would be the first player to be suspended twice under the policy created in 2015. He was suspended 20 games in 2019 after being arrested for alleged domestic battery but he was never officially charged. One would have to think they might up it to entire season if he is found guilty of these new allegations.

Braves are currently on pace to score 940 runs this season. If they can somehow average 7 runs/gm the rest of the season they will have scored the most runs since the 2000 White Sox had 978. That season had seven 900-run teams and the league average was 832 runs scored, whereas the league average for 2023 is on pace to be 748 runs scored. Additionally, there have only been 4 teams score 940+ runs since 2000.
