OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

Yeah, I would have guessed Miami, Orlando, and Tampa Bay. I was watching the Players, and they said Jacksonville, so I looked it up. Jacksonville (950,00), Miami (440,000), and Tampa (380,000) are the three at the top. However, looking at the fact that Jacksonville has by far the largest square mileage accounting for its size makes it all kind of a moot point. I always considered the metro area within 20 miles as the population.
Good question

I’ll need to look on ESPN the score of The Rebels Volunteers game since it’s on the SEC Network.

The Buckeyes by record objectively suck(14-18) so it won’t be surprising if they lose to a good Hawkeyes team in the United Center.

The Buckeyes might get the moral victory of keeping the game close.

My wife is just annoyed that my kids dislike Vandy because of sports (my fault) since she worries it will sour them on potentially going there...
Tell her it’s for their own good. You don’t want them to go to a university where they are subjected to horrible athletics for 4 years. A degree is a degree anyways 🤷‍♂️

On a related note, are y'all familiar with the favored cheer of private schools (that have poor athletics): "That's alright, that's ok, you're gonna work for us someday"!
