I wonder if teams will actually do this?

Braves would be able to do it with the speed of Michael Harris and Ronald Acuña. I wouldn’t risk it though because you are just asking to give up a triple. Also with the pitch clock you are asking the shifting player to sprint all the way back to LF in 15 seconds. That would be pretty chaotic.

Now, I'm not delusional enough to believe that Michelle Pfeiffer has not had "work done"
But we can all draw one or more conclusions

1- Madonna accepted the low bid
2- Madonna has only Yes-Men in her life and no one to tell her what she "needs" to hear.

On February 17 in Baseball History...
  • 1943 - Joe DiMaggio, drawing $43,500 from the Yankees, trades in his salary for the $50 a month of an army enlisted man. DiMaggio, in his customary quiet style, gives no notice to the club.

  • 1964 - Former White Sox shortstop Luke Appling is voted into the Hall of Fame in the runoff election. Appling won two batting titles and played 2,422 games in twenty years with the White Sox.

  • 1965 - Commissioner Ford Frick suspends U.S. - Japan baseball relations until the dispute over Japanese San Francisco pitcher Masanori Murakami's contract with the Giants is resolved.

  • 1987 - Don Mattingly wins a $1.975 million salary in his arbitration case against the Yankees, eclipsing the record $1.85 million sum by Jack Morris just four days earlier.

Almighty baseball Gods,
We humbly ask for offensive crooked numbers, defensive shutouts, strong pitching stats, and loud bats. Please crush our enemies, see them driven before us and let us hear the lamentations of their women
Bubbles for all..
Amen.

They are the ones who should be punished for their silly cheers

1893- Wally Pipp. Quiz: where does he fit in in baseball history?

1893- Wally Pipp. Quiz: where does he fit in in baseball history?
He is best known for missing a game due to a “headache” depending on who you ask. This allowed Lou Gehrig to step in and start his consecutive games played streak. Pretty crazy because Pipp was actually a good player during his era.

In case anyone’s interested, the athletic recently ranked all NFL franchises during the Super Bowl era using a scoring analysis based on cumulative points for progressing in the playoffs. The lions (established 1929) checked in at #31, one spot below the jags (established 1995) and above the last place Texans (established 2002).

If Dan Campbell wins a playoff game for the Lions they should build a statue of him.
