I'm still in a mild shock that our most trusted shooter (Vescovi) missed a free throw.

That was karma for Phillips not attacking the basket on that breakaway. The basketball gods will always release their wrath.

Would this be a bad time to remind everyone that we play a team next week that beat Vanderbilt by nearly 60 points? I will be at that game and I am honestly regretting it now

They have nobody else to blame for this lost except their bone-headed play at the end.

And I don’t put this on Barnes one bit. He was animated with Phillips after he got fouled and was telling him to go score. And then you have a senior that leaves a puddle at the free throw line à la Kenley Jansen for the Braves last season.

I say we just win the SEC regular season then get double dipped in the SEC tournament. That seems to be the recipe for success in the NCAAT.

The way the Vols have been playing lately, I don't doubt that at all. We have been exposed as a team now that is falling off their bikes at the end of the season. Can't win a game under pressure so play the Vols tight & watch them crumble like a cookie.

Yeah, but here the last 2 or three games they've been terrible.

Well, as much as I hate to say it, have to tip my cap to…. the opponent… tonight. They played hard and shot really well.

As discussed during the game, we’re now 1-5 as a top 10 team at Vandy. And the one win was a miracle punctuated by Jordan Bowden momentarily becoming super human.

About this year for the baseVols, we have said that we would be fine with limping into the postseason and turning it on a la Miss St last year. Hopefully Vol hoops can end up in that category.
