I really don’t understand the championship or bust crowd. So, the Vols, who were an afterthought a few years ago, have an epic season of domination and we’re just gonna throw a pity party because they lost one series? I think not. And I was at the elimination game after which my son cried, but we got over it. Based on statistical probabilities, that approach is going to lead to a lot of depression, shame not to enjoy such an epic season.

I thought that was a low blow coming from a writer that covers the team.

I was there, too. Shoot, it was like an arrow and I’m a well-seasoned codger. I’ll always remember all the cool stuff last season. So will your boys.

That’s the problem, you gotta enjoy the ride, good or bad. For me the season was magical and enjoyed all of it. Winning the championship would have been the cherry on top, but it was pretty amazing regardless.
