I'm guessing the daddy cap and the coat are gone. That was the last group's thing so I guess they will come up with something for this group. There are only a couple left from the ones who started that.

On the starting lineup. When I look at the guys that are coming back and the guys who came in, there will be some hurt feelings about April 1 when it all shakes out for good.

Tough titties is what I always say. Buckle down and get better if you want playing time. I thought I was better than the guys ahead of me in high school but had to wait until my junior year to start. I got a few starts as a sophomore but not many. Luckily, I was the first option as a pinch hitter and would go in some games as a defensive replacement later in games. Pretty funny that I went from not a lot of playing time to a key contributor the following season. Some of my other classmates weren’t as lucky and had to wait all the way until their senior season to get any playing time on varsity. I say that to say this: the difference between Vitello and high school coaches is that Vitello is going to put the best players on the field. There will not be favoritism.
