I thought Peyton wanted to move on & play elsewhere after his contract was up?

I was under the impression the Colts were wanting to move on due to Andrew Luck being draft eligible at the end of the year in which Peyton missed and was recovering from his spinal fusion surgery. I read somewhere that he pleaded with Jim Irsay that if they would draft Luck he would mentor him for a few years and would retire after that. The Colts salary cap situation was a mess though and I think it would have been hard for them to field a team as talented as the Broncos, so it worked out for the best for Peyton.

I was in Texas one time visiting my brother while he was going to Baylor in Waco.
One morning I saw the paper was outside laying in the grass so I thought being such a swell guy & all I'd go out to get it. I was bare-footed at the time & I walked on the grass to bring in the paper. Come to find out they had "cactus grass". It was used to keep dogs & other animals from peeing in the yard. I'm no dog but it kept me out from walking there bare-foot. Crap hurts.
