OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

I thought you were fishing us and maybe the answer was Alan Cockrell?
I was going to go older with the wild guess of Herky Payne. Won a national championship under Neyland, second team All American second baseman when the Vols were CWS runner up (and one of my baseball coaches when growing up, but he recovered from that 😉).

That’s funny because my wife and I just recently had this conversation.
I don’t think any of his movies are THAT great??
🤷‍♂️

This looked to be maybe his first ever that he was in. He was very young w/no fat.
It was so bad, I thought at times, I was watching a "silent" movie. But, you got to start somewhere w/a few bad actors at your side.

Would you rather watch a John Wayne or Elvis Presley movie?
Just watched the Elvis movie on HBO max. Colonel Tom Parker seemed to be a real douchebag that manipulated Elvis's career for his own benefit. I forgot how young Elvis was when he died, 42. It's worth a watch........

I'll never forget the day I came home from work & turned the TV on to find out Elvis died.
He wasn't due to die so early in life. He had so much more to do & to live for.

I knew the pharmacist who was Elvis’ pharmacist before he got all sideways with his addiction. He said Elvis was the nicest, kindest person you could ever imagine. He only had good things to say, and obviously, hated his downward spiral.
