I was having a good read on this article about this Sammy Strang dude B4 an advertisement popped up & wanted me to sign up to get their crap that I don't want or need.
By the time he broke into the major leagues for good in 1900 w/the Chicago Orphans. Really, the Chicago Orphans?? Back then, they had some strange funny names in the major leagues.

I just can't imagine what life was like playing ML baseball in the early 1900s & traveling.
I bet they ate a lot of sardines & potted meat out of cans w/no flavored kool-aid to drink.
I would never trade this day & age with all the crap they had to put up with. I'm too spoiled.
