Not very often that you see the World Series champion have the 9th highest bonus pool value. I guess that Drew Waters trade worked out better for the organization in the long term.

He was the Braves top prospect that they traded to the Royals to get the 35th pick and a high bonus pool in this past MLB Draft. I personally would not have traded him because he is a really good player but the organization knows what they are doing.

So with the 35th pick Braves pick JR Ritchie, RHP, out of HS in Washington. Signed on 7/22.
I hope Ritchie is worth all that trouble to get him into the Braves system & start right away.

Back when players appreciated their fans... I sent this card along with a letter, to the Braves stadium in C/O Steve Avery, when I was little, asking for an autograph and letting him know he was one of my favorite players. I got the card back, signed, along with this...

while watching the brewers-bosox game someone with the broadcast crew noted that in the 21 championship series that Bill Russell was involved his team won all 21.
