In 99% of cases, within 2-3 days of the draft they report to their team’s spring training facility. They sign, go through some orientation, HR stuff, forms, etc. Then they start working out and throwing, etc. Most will play for their organization’s rookie league team until mid-September. The only exception is for pitchers that may have thrown a ton of innings in the spring and summer. At the end of the season in mid Sept, at that point they come home. Then, several of the new guys go back for 2-3 weeks in mid to late October for fall instructs (told and shown things to work on over the winter before coming back for spring training)The players that were taken in the draft, are they able to join their teams now or do they have to wait until next season?

I’d go with what he says @mad4volsIn 99% of cases, within 2-3 days of the draft they report to their team’s spring training facility.
