She was driving by Graceland one day & noticed the gate wasn't locked as usual. She turned her mustang around & drove up the driveway to the door. Elvis came outside to see what was up & she got to talk to him for several minutes. She said he was just the nicest fella.

When I was living in Memphis in 1971-1972, I had to drive by Graceland all the time to get to my job which was in Whitehaven. I worked at this giant grocery store on 3rd shift.
Update: I forgot to mention during Christmas time Graceland was all lite up w/decorations.

All those lean ugly years that Braves fans had to endure losing is out the window for now.
You come to expect each night/day game they play for them to win.

As a fan of both teams...the Braves will catch the Mets. Atlanta is a more complete team. I just don’t think Alonso can carry a team in the post season. Now if deGrom and Scherzer are firing on all cylinders, the Mets may have a shot, but I like the youth of Atlanta and see them getting much better in the 2nd half of the season.

The crazy stat to me is the Braves haven’t lost more than two games in row all season. Conversely, outside of the 14 game winning streak, they hadn’t won more than 2 games in a row up until this past series with the Cardinals in which they won the first 3.

Coming into this game, Erick Fedde had a 0-5 record with an ERA of 9.97 and 30 strikeouts in 9 appearances against the Braves in his career.

Erick Fedde is now in line to have a 0-6 record with an ERA of 11.03 and 31 strikeouts in 10 appearances against the Braves in his career…

The Braves have had some success against Scherzer. I completely forgot about him playing for the Diamondbacks. I bet they regret that decision. Jacob deGrom on the other hand has really pitched well against the Braves. He just doesn’t have the wins to show for it because of poor run support. There have been 11 times that he’s either taken the L or forced to take a no decision when he gave up 2 ER or less. Jacob deGrom is like that hot chick that’s married to a bum and you’re always wondering why she won’t leave that loser for a better man.
