Yes he definitely has been above average in his career thus far. Hopefully he can stop trying to live up to what Freddie did and just be Matt Olson. We all know he can be a really good player but he’s definitely thinking too much, not only at the plate but in the field too. He’s a gold glover and he’s been making weird mistakes in the field as well. It’s all mental with him right now.I was referring to his career thus far. Historically speaking, he’s above average. Once he adjusts and settles in, I think he will produce. Lots of pressure on him being the hometown guy who is replacing the face of the franchise.
