OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

Olson was above average last year. He has been just average this season. Of qualifying 1B in the NL, he is above average in doubles (1st), walks(1st), and total bases (5th). Below average in strikeouts (2nd most). He ranks right in the middle of the pack in all of the other major categories (7th-9th). Pretty much the definition of an average starting player at your position.
I was referring to his career thus far. Historically speaking, he’s above average. Once he adjusts and settles in, I think he will produce. Lots of pressure on him being the hometown guy who is replacing the face of the franchise.
