Ironically, I could not stand Rick Barnes when he was at Clemson. I know he had a profound life change then but he has single handedly made the men's basketball program the most impressive and proud team on campus.



Where so many universities (large and small) turn the other eye on teams with bad actors; Ricky from Hickory has fielded team-after-team of true character guys.

Why transfer before you can cash in on NIL after playing?

He may be looking at a mid major for 1 season and then go back to high profile team

I didn't know anything about Rick Barnes until we played Texas years ago w/Durant.
I'm sure glad as heck that UT grabed him when he was fired from there.
