I love this line from the Venue Owners:

We strongly encourage you to contact your wedding insurance provider immediately to begin the claims process. You may provide them with this written notice as confirmation of closure.

So they're saying "it's your insurance company's job to pay our bills. We're going to keep the money you paid us that we did nothing to earn"

Must be nice. I'd love for someone else to pick up my bills. It's one thing to close your business in a moment. Restaurants do that all the time but to keep tens of thousands of dollars from others who've paid ahead for future services is another thing.

I hate to ask and it's none of my business...did you all buy insurance for this? How common is it for folks booking these venues to buy such insurance?

I'm trying to find the first baseball forum post. Is this it? @Freak
KY balked in the winning run in the 8th inning ~ good thing it wasn't on ESPN b/c people that were there said it was a questionable call ~ anyone go to the game?

They did take out insurance. I didn’t even know there was such a thing.

Don’t think it covers 100% of what they paid. Hope it does, but maybe 75%, not sure.

I’m just glad they at least sent out the email Monday night to notify us. The kids are troopers, instead of feeling sorry for themselves and being in shock, they found a new venue that night, contacted everyone made arrangements and everything. Proud of them, my daughter was ready to kick some ass if they were brave enough to pick up the phone.

Could have been worse imagine if they never sent out the email and everyone showed up this weekend and discovering the venue is closed? What a nightmare that would have been.

Well, well, well. That lyingly self-declared bastion of sacred baseball tradition, the Arkie Pigs, they of the empty trophy case, have announced that they will be the first to put corporate logo patches on their hallowed baseball jersey.

It's Tyson's -- let us hope the patch promotes smoked sausage.

Snooty lil porcine bishes. They have no respect for the game™

Any word yet from VP22 yet? Was he banned or just taking time away for awhile?

I don’t know what happened, wasn’t on that day. Won’t be the same without him. I take it whatever happened he must have been upset, sounds like he was saying peace out and isn’t coming back.

LSU is doing the same thing. They may be hard core and not unlikely drunk, but they don't give off comically fake airs of being the baseball Queen of England like Arkansas does.
It’s a given that we will all have the new corporate sponsor patches, don’t you think?
