OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

Depends on if I become “The Accountant” from Ben Affleck’s movies. Then it’s a no brainer.
With that G*Y Back tattoo and ALL??!!

We were taking the bus back to the Ag Campus after the game. SRO and packed. Almost everyone was trying to snuggle up somehow to get the basketball score or actually listen. I look up a few rows and this guy is watching Family Feud on his phone. I am not sure what to say but I am sure a few of you can think of something.

I mean, the feud is pretty fun though

NO amount of $ is worth my dignity...
I would never let my pride or ego get in the way of having that type of money but that’s just me. It’s a tattoo. It’s not like you were asking to perform an indecent act with another man. That’s too far for me but a tattoo I would get one in a heartbeat for that amount of money and I would wear it like a badge of honor. “Oh yeah, this stupid ass back tattoo, some chap paid me $150M to get it! 🤣

Once had an athlete who got a B in my class, few years later they received a torchbearer award, the highest award UT offers. In their award description, it actually said the student received an A in every class except one, felt bad about that one…

Opposite story....had a few football players sitting behind me in a geology class. Auditorium seating. They were talking during the exam and looking off my test. Told the professor the next day in his office. He appreciated my honesty and already knew it. His quote was, 'I know, I already saw it. But, the University won't tolerate me turning them in to the judicial council. I wouldn’t have a job.'

Haha, pretty interesting. I’ve definitely turned people in for cheating, including that led to expulsion, but never for an athlete (that I know of), so wouldn’t know

Also, IF I looked the other way, I probably wouldn’t tell a student that!

Wouldn't blame you. I think he appreciated my honesty, and returned it with a straight up answer. He actually was really good in class. The class was about sustainability, life boat ethics, etc. Long before those became buzz words.

Maybe someday I'll tell the story of Billy Ratliff wanting to whoop me over a game of spades that didn't involve money 😂. Ahh, the 90s. ...kinda miss those days.
