Yes, rumor is Florida was going to fire Napier last year but they went on a run and he saved his job. Florida was fully prepared to hire Kiffin and already had talks with Jimmy Sexton and Kiffin would have accepted.

Josh Pate was talking about last season. But now that a year has passed, Kiffin is a hot commodity and widely seen as the best coaching candidate so he has a lot of options. He can choose Florida, LSU, or try the NFL again.
