OldTimer’s Dugout - Off Topic Thread

Let’s see if BYU stands on business and lets a paid athlete go for not abiding by the “honor” code.

Cam Carr transfers to Baylor and immediately becomes a 24ppg scorer. Wish we could have made it work with him. Dude had superstar potential written all over him.
He chose to walk away..... I'm not surprised that Scott Drew has unlocked his potential, but let's not overlook the fact that Carr was still a selfish POS who walked out on a team that needed him (he absolutely would've made the difference against Houston).

That being said, he's dominating Q3/Q4 opponents like he should.... if he can dominate the Quad 1 opponents that are upcoming on Baylor's schedule, then I'll be ready to give him his flowers.

I’m not disagreeing that he was selfish. Just saying I wish he would have stayed. I think most fans were upset with him leaving because they knew he could turn into a great player. Sucks that we always seem to be one player away.

Here is a crazy hypothetical: Let’s say LSU does lure Heupel away from Tennessee. That would leave another big opening to be filled. Would Tennessee and Lane Kiffin entertain a reunion? This university always lives for drama so it would seem apropos 😂

I am not advocating for Heupel to leave and rehire Lane Kiffin but you have to admit it would be a very “Tennessee” type of thing to occur.
